Resilient Roots

Description:
Presley Root is an Anishinaabe artist, and beginner hide tanner from Saugeen First Nation. She finds great inspiration from Turtle Island and it is shown through her beadwork. She strives to incorporate natural materials such as, porcupine quills, fish skin leather, birch bark, traditionally tanned deer hides, antler, bones, shells, and various types of fur.
