Hello, Greetings! Roberta Frantzis is an Anishnaabe woman. On her Father’s side, they are Anishnaabek from Saugeen Ojibway Nation (mouth of the river) and Neyaashingiming First Nation (point of land surrounded by 3 sides of water). She is Mukwa Dodem (Bear Clan) from the Madwayosh/Wellington Family and adopted into the Ritchie Family. On her Mother’s side, they are Metis/Cree from the Red River and Moose Factory. She currently resides in Syilx Okanagan Territoy.

Roberta has worked in our Indigenous communities as a helper for over twenty years. Three years ago, she opened a private practice called Ninoshenh Counseling. Ninoshenh means Auntie in Anishnaabemowin, and more specifically, it means Mother’s sister. Ninoshenh offers virtual one to one counseling as well as the option to wrap around village supports. They also facilitate many Indigenous based workshops, both online and in person.
